Hi Guys,
I recent put down a deposit on a MY14 VRX lancer in titanium, and am looking forward to driving it!
You guys have a great site going here, with a very active and supporting community that I hope to be a part of.
I will post up pics once I get my car!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!
I can't wait to get her. I have been driving an 2008 corrolla for the last 3 years (the wifes car) after I sold off my VT commodore, and am seriously looking forward to something with a bit more grunt.
Sir Lancer-lot, I am getting the sedan. The sportsback was not for me
I'm looking at getting a few things done. I've looked into a sunroof from Prestige Sunroofs (after some advice from aspire), and getting tinting and paint protection done once I pick up the car. I narrowly escaped getting ripped off, and found out I can get everything much cheaper if I organise it myself.
This will be my first brand new car, so I don't want to do too much too fast, but I have seen all the awesome mods you guys have out there and am chomping at the bit to make the vrx more "mine", if that makes sense.
I'm in the south eastern suburbs, so I look forward to catching up with you guys.

My dealer says the car should be ready by the 12/07, so fingers crossed

Most people get suckered into the paint protection and factory tinting at least once... I know I did. First thing tho, they never honor the paint protection anyhow, so doing it later is a good idea.
Anyhow Welcome to the club. I am sure you will enjoy the VRX, I always loved mine and it's a 2.4 now

Thanks Kirtis. I actually did order the paint protection, tinting and sunroof thorugh the dealer at first!
I got the entire package for something like $3800. I wanted to upgrade the sunroof from a hollandia 700 to a hollandia 900 with rain sensor. i knew the dealer was using Prestige Sunroofs, so asked them the retail prioce of an upgrade. They told me it was something like $300. Went back to the dealer to confirm the price, and she quoted me $600! When I asked her why, and showed her my emails from Prestige, she started saying the difference was to make up for the good deal she gave me previously...
Long story short, despite me showing her that the retail difference was $300, and her refusing to honour the difference, I pulled the whole thing. Now I'm saving close to $1000, and that's if I do the paint protection. Just goes to show you how badly you can be conned if you don't do your research.
