Hi Everyone

Just like to say hello to everyone from here in Townsville. I am a previous 08 Lancer owner, and now a 2010 Evo X MR owner. Car is stock, with a 98 tune. I, as most of us on here, have a few plans, hope to have an exhaust on soon (Perrin with AMS HF Cat), and maybe in the future, Id like to get some work done from RTR.

I also recently installed some red lipstick on my car. It is incredibly homo.

I just noticed XFactor Designs and I am already wanted the Auto mirrors, and I am looking into a wrap with one of the vendors on here. All of these, of course, have been deemed pointless my the missus ;)

Anyhow, I hope to become active on this forum, as its hard to find much info on these cars in Aus.

Kirt

Hi Kirt, welcome to the forums!

hi kirt, welcome to CCJ.
the x factor mirrors are poorly made internally and will fail eventually, and there is no warranty.

Thanx Guys

Yes Phantom Black, I have only had her for 2 weeks? about. I have only really seen about 2 other Evo X's here, a Red one owned by an old fella near my work, and a white one, possibly yours ;) These is a blue thing driving around, which I am more then certain is not an evo haha.

I don't get to drive her too often, but when I do, it'll probably be around the Aitkenvale area, which is probably why I have owned the car for a total of 2 weeks and have already had someone try to break into it, leaving scratches between the doors. I have cameras now ;)

P.S. Oh and thank you Sleeper, ill make sure to stay clear.

far out that sucks mate . yeh car theft up here atm is bloody ridiculous.

there is a few x's around. about 3/4 red ones, 1 black one (amke that 2 now), 3 white, 2/3 blue, 2 grey thats about all ive kept track of lol. one of the grey ones is a 300+kw so steer clear of that haha.

if its the blue one with the big gt wing i think he has brembo covers too

there are some pretty decent turnouts for the evo meets would be good to have another X along. dyno day coming up soon too at dynolink.

anyway if you see a white evo popping and banging leaving a trail of black smoke thats me. hope to see ya round.

Car theft is ridiculous here. Anyhow, I'll look out for that one, My goal will be around 300-350kW by the time I'm done, at least, that's where I'd stop. But I would take my time, I like to work on my cars on my own, little bit at a time. And being a MR, there is always the issue of the SST being weak.

You might see me around craigeth, I do head up that way every now and then. I'll have to keep an eye out for you guys driving around ;) you won't hear me coming, she is still ver quiet haha.

Welcome Kirtis!

When the time Kirtis there are clutch upgrades available for the SST so it can handle the extra power.

I had no idea car theft was so bad up there  I have family that live at Annadale.

Yeah I have seen the SSP upgrades, I have also seen them installed incorrectly time and time again, I read something on RTR's website that made me think he knows what he is doing. I am just waiting on him to give me an idea on pricing for the 2 packs installed, that will determine weather I start right now, or leave it a bit. I am paying for a wedding at the moment, so a lot, and by a lot, I mean all of my money is going into that haha.

I might pick up the exhaust tomorrow and install it, that will hold me over for a little while, and just hope it doesn't mess with the tune, although it should't as its only a turbo back.

Just a quick question, I see the guys at RTR tried to become a vendor here at some stage, is there any reason that didn't happen?

The ssp clutches have been used by another member here and found to be no good for the power your seeking. There are some better options still, I will send you PM

Hey to the Townsville guys, easier to ask in here. Do you recommend any tuners in Townsville to do a quick tune after an exhaust is installed? to dtop over boost etc? I don't want to have to drive up to cairns (Where I know of at least 1 decent one) to get it tuned, but the only tuners I know of here are for commys etc.
