Hi everyone!!

I am new to the site, and have had my lovely CJ Rx lancer since December 2009.

The only problem i've encountered with it, is that the CD Player refuses to have any volume.

I can load a CD into the player, and you can hear it play, but only if you turn it right up to 45 volume, and even then it sounds like a crackly whisper. Until late 2010 i never had a problem with it.

I've taken it back to the dealer 2 times with this problem, and each time they claim to have fixed it, about 3 weeks later, it happens again.

Is there anything that it could be?? I went and checked the fuses in BOTH fuse boxes, and both are perfectly fine, so any help would be appreciated!!

Cheers in advance,

Maybe a loose cable?

My suggestion would be to request they replace it, or buy an after market one :)

Thanks. I'll be heading back to Mitsubishi Morphettvale in a week or so.

For it to be a loose cable though, its a little strange to happen 3 times... :S

Good luck :) might be something more...

our front air conditioning lips were broken when we took ownership - first time they pulled it apart they found the problem. Second time to replace them, third to try and fix again with the new rattle in the console they created and next service to try and fix again, lol

Second with Erin's reply, I'd just replace that stereo. :P
Ask Matt (Fitter) about the audio stuff, he's the expert and go to guy for audio concerns. :)

Edit: Welcome to CCJ mate enjoy your stay. :) Also come to the cruise on the weekend as well!
