Hey guys,
I got my first car, a 2011 Lightning Blue SX about a month ago after I passed my practical driving test
I did the manual test, but I did get the car in auto.
I'm 16 (probably the youngest member on here) and from Perth and get my P's some time in May.

Yes Jordan you're the youngest here in WA as far as I know! And the youngest in the club that I'm currently aware of...
But most of us are 20-mid 20s so it doesn't matter too much
Thats a very good first car, my CJ is my third!
We're having a joint cruise with another club on Saturday but we'd probably be a bad influence

Yeah I was very lucky haha.. Dad spoilt me
If I go on a cruise though, I'll wait til I've got my P's.. more freedom then (no parent
)
Oh and I'm sure I've got worse influences (cousins with FPV's, HSV's trying to show off to me
)

Haha probably, I think how you're going to drive is already built into you when you get your licence...
We don't mess around too much but I couldn't imagine coming on a cruise with my Mum
P's in May? It'll probably feel like a long time but its not really, so hopefully we see you soon
Planning on modding the car?

Yeah, I will be modding it, nothing to serious (just an intake, axel back exhaust and some exterior stuff). I'm going to be blacking out my front bumper in the next couple of weeks, and I got my car booked in for tinting this Saturday. Also got quoted $500 (not including installation) for the exhaust, so I just gotta start saving
.
I do want some wheels, but I think that will come last because it will take me a long time to save for it
I was looking at the Lavinhard Fin7's.

Hmm they look good. I deliberately steered away from many-spoke wheels when I got mine though
They're not in my picture but I recently got Enkei EV5's.
Yeah I don't know how confident you are driving yet but just when you're considering a mod, also consider if you're going to bang it up on curbs or whatever
I put my muffler on myself, and if I can do it just about anybody can
Is it a branded one or an exhaust-shop one?

I just like the black rims, not too bothered about the spokes.
I don't know how to put this without sounding cocky and inexperienced (although being 16 I probably am inexperienced lol) but I am very confident driving.
And also the exhaust is from XForce
http://www.xforce.com.au/products.php?m ... i&model=78
I'm pretty handy, so if it isn't anything that requires prior knowledge I can certainly have ago at installing it myself.

A branded one should have the proper hangers and everything so it should be easy enough
I had to ask for advice on how to get the rubber hangers off but... Its basically 'lubricate them and try harder'
And being good at driving and being good at not hitting curbs in carparks aren't entirely equivalent, but if you're not worried then who cares

Well I haven't hit anything so far and I've been driving for about 7 months, I'm gonna try to keep it that way

Well you haven't mentioned any overly dramatic mods so its fine.
I'm about to put coilovers on AND the front airdams from VRX's so I'll have to be careful every single time I park

It will look good though, I think it is worth the trouble
