For about 20K, you cold only get a SX new.

2nd hand you could pick up a MY08 VRX or Aspire possibly. But it'd probably be pretty high kms.

Remember the MY08 VRX only has a 2.0L engine too.

is the 2.4L engine more agressive than the 2.0L?

You should check out the Mitsubishi website for the comparison chart; it'll show you what the feature differences are side by side and you can see what may or may not be important to you.

Engine wise, from my knowledge, all the models are the same, until you get to the VRX which has the 2.4L engine and other slight performance differences, like suspensions.

Have you gone to the dealership yet to check them out in person?

If the engine capacity doesn't bug you then a MY11 VR should be your choice.

The only feature you cannot retrofit is the smart key.
An MY11 VR has folding mirrors and the smart key system.

Almost everything else, you can upgrade as you go along... .

Constantly Variable Transmission has no gears. 'Gears' in CVT are artificial ratios to simulate gears, but in its standard mode it doesn't simulate gears.
