The 'moo-ing' that people refer to is the sound of the revs being at a constant rpm during acceleration. That said, what I think Danny means is that the sound is a little more obvious on the up hills since the car will need to be at higher revs, therefore the sound is louder.

Driving in sports mode is just shifting the gear stick upwards into the appropriate gear and then shift down-ways for the lower gears ..And if you forget you are in sports mode " As I do sometimes  "As having the Auto as well it's easy to forget you are not in Auto " It dosn't matter too much as the CVT Will go down the gears for you as you slow down ..It's very easy to drive ...

I Believe it is standard in Australia ... Hope this makes sense for you

Hey Doreen :)

ES, Activ, RX, SX and VR do not have paddles. VRX has the paddles :) SST RA and EVO also have the paddles for that matter :)

The VRX is the 2nd highest model in the NA Lancers.

The price does vary quite a lot.

Also, if you are looking at a CVT, ask about the Aspire. It is a VRX without the wing, but gets HIDs and Leather interior. Might be worth considering depending on the price and what budget you have.

Second hand you might find a VRX but i dont think you will find an Aspire.

Remember the MY08 VRX only has a 2.0L engine too.
