I purchased it that way. I am going to be getting it connected though. It didn't make sense to me either, but that's what the previous owner obviously wanted for some straaaaange reason.

The engine blocks in an RA and an ES/VR/VRX are the same. However the connectors and pipework are NOT the same. Their operating tolerance is much lower. Directly bolting on and thinking your pipework and tubing will work is what I suspect Sleeper means by breaking your engine. Literally it will break.

If you're connecting it for looks and don't intend for the turbo to operate, well and good, I don't think you'll have a problem. Only thing is you're carrying about alot of unnecessary weight.

However, if you're looking to get it all working, you'll have alot more parts to replace and buy. Furthermore, the ECU will heave to be changed to accommodate for the turbo.

no, i dont think even the blocks are the same ofey, (both the RA and the EVO have the 4b11T. apparently the water jackets are bigger in a 4b11T, the 4b11T is also lower compression, the bearings and con rods are stronger, the head is different, really NOT in any way the same engine.

pls correct me if i am wrong?

and yeah, chubb has it accurately depicted, i mean terminally damaged as in seized or blown up.

It's all good. I've had a chat to a friend of mine who used to be a sub-assembly technician for FPR, and he's said he'll find out what needs to be done to get the engine ready for it and he'll get it all set for me.
