RA is another one i have to Google lol. I was looking at the Aspire and i gotta say, it doesnt seem to bad, but i am not a big fan of the wood trimming. I would want a car that can get off the line fast and performs well. Oh and i got told somewhere that the VRX has enough room to install a turbo....any truth?

what attracts me to evos is the performancethat offer and plus the look, I am sure the Insurance is going to be the one that kills me even for a RA. lol

You can even turbo easely 2.0l engine with no probs... It would cost you some extra bucks though :)

Btw the aspire wood trim is a bit more subtle IRL.. I was a bit "no way" when I saw it on the web, but it blends in kinda.

You have to ask yourself though.. Why bother putting a turbo in a VRX if for only a couple thousand more you could grab an RA - You sound pretty determined to grab that turbo car and personally I don't blame you - Just car insurance would probably be the cheapest option as far as insurance goes though check online quotes.

I manged to get a car salesman to let me test drive a 2010 Lancer VRX today, i know the aircon works GREAT!!! lol it was like 40 degrees today lol, After the salesman being rude and making me wait in the sun, finally got to drive it First impression is, its very responsive very much so with the accelerator Couldnt feel it switch gears when in auto, even when in the sports mode, the difference between the gears was bugger all Also felt like i was driving a truck with a big hood. Could be just getting use to it. Over all the car isnt to bad. I might wait till April so i can take a RA for a test drive, see how they perform.

i think you dont hve to wait for april. i know being a p plater and all. i am 21 and im driving an evo x with green nsw p's on victoria! but i never had problems with cops i was breath tested the other day without any porblems. as for insurance i pay $130 with a $2400 excess so its not bad at all. so weigh all your options and what you can or cant afford. but never never buy a car and just say it will do. you will have regrets im telling you. im on that boat atm. i wish i just bought a evo x gsr instead of the mr. good luck!

CVT doesn't have gears, that would be why you can't feel them.
Unless you're talking about having it in 'manual' mode.

My advice would be, even if you can get an evo or whatever, get a reliable car now and use the lower insurance to save for what you want later.

You don't need a fast car, you can learn and do a lot in just about any car.

Unless you're rich or its a burning desire to get one. :P

And yes you can fit a turbo on any of the non-turbo lancers (otherwise how would they get a turbo on the ralliart or evo?) but I wouldn't do it. Too expensive. Like said, just buy a better car.

I agree with Jake, having a fast car can also get you into trouble, and at the end of the day we can only do what the speed limit allows us,even though we all tend to give it a squirt from time to time.
However each to there own and im sure if its turbo you want to get, then go for it and good luck with whatever you decide to do :) :)
