Well, personally, I'd suggest figuring out your budget, getting estimates for what you'd like, then prioritising what you'd like.
It's easy for things to get out of hand, and hard at times to say no to things if you're not sure what you'd like.
Maybe create two lists: 1) what you're set on getting done; 2) what you're not fixed on, but would be a bonus. Just helps you when you see group buys and offers come your way.
