Noob NEEDS URGENT HELP!!! and hi club CJ

Its just a lancer..

the ralliart for the CH are non turbo im pretty sure.. the ralliart in the US is basically the same as our vrx..

the only turbo ralliart lancer is the current CJ lancer..

if ur saying the ralliart in the us is the same as the vrx here... and the vrx 2.4L is the same as my friends 2.4L ES then, does that mean i should choose the ralliart short shifter kit?...

i am 1 click away from confirming my order

but ur saying ES is a ES.. thats correct..

but his ES is a 2.4L non-turbo and the only 2.4L non turbo lancer (IN THE USA) is the ralliart version... all other versions are 1.8/2L etc etc but not 2.4L

If you really want to be certain I'd suggest giving it 12 hrs or so. We have some very knowledgeable members and a few that have had CH's before their CJ's... and I seem to recall at least one token CH owner who's a friend of other CJ owners here.

They'd be able to advise you a little better.

that would be awesome... looks like i wont be able to confirm payment n order until 12 hours time... hopefully someone can help then..

anyways i found this after more researching.


on wiki.. it says the 2.4L is the mivec engine and it is the 4G69 engine

and when i click on it.. it shows that the following cars have these engines in them

2003–present Mitsubishi Grandis
2004–2006 Mitsubishi Lancer (Ralliart and Sportback Wagon only)
2004–present Mitsubishi Galant
2004–present Mitsubishi Outlander
2006–present Mitsubishi Eclipse


so that means i need a ralliart kit and not the lancer kit

is that right?

where are you ordering the shifters from? if it's in Australia, just order the normal ES shifter and try it, if it doesn't fit, send it back and replace it with a Ralliart shifter... one of the two should definitley work

the pic of that car you showed in first post is a 2005/06 CH Lancer (you can tell from the grill as the 2004 model had same grill but no chrome and was 2.0L)
