Noob NEEDS URGENT HELP!!! and hi club CJ

Hi club CJ

I'm from Australia

and i need URGENT reply...

I am about to purchase a TWM short shifter kit with my friend who owns a 2006 2.4L lancer ES...so we can get cheaper shipping if we both order our stuff from TWM..

i already know my model of my car, however my friend is not sure what model his lancer is...

on the TWM website... there are 3 options

1) 2001+ up lancer
2) 2001+ up lancer ralliart
3) Evo

obviously its not an evo as u can tell because its not turbo charged...

but im confused whether if it is just a lancer or a lancer ralliart....(because it has the words MIVEC on the side markers) whatever that means

wikipedia says 2.4L is ralliart.. but i thought lancer ralliart was lancer VRX versions...

Ralliarts are aswell Turbo

The 2001+ Ralliart in the states is what we had as the CH VRX. but if yours is just the ES model it's what Mattigins sais.

well u gotta look at it from the perspective of the US,

Lancer might mean only the 2.0L or 1.8L engine, Ralliart = 2.4L and evo = turbo

since the lancer es 2.4L is in australia...

but for CH in aus 2.4L it isnt turboed but its 2.4L in the US isnt it?

but if we're talkin about the 05-06, in aus, lancer/vrx = 2.4L

in the US, lancer = 2.0L, ralliart = 2.4L non turbo..

Its just a lancer..

the ralliart for the CH are non turbo im pretty sure.. the ralliart in the US is basically the same as our vrx..

the only turbo ralliart lancer is the current CJ lancer..

I'm not a whiz on this stuff, but I'm pretty sure the CH's all ran the same gearbox weather it was a 1.8, 2.0 or 2.4. As you're after a short shifter you should be fine either way. Note: I'm just guessing here.
