How much was the mat? Any link? Cheers

I got one ages ago. Had to buy some velcro sticky things to keep it in place as it came loose with heat.

They're on special at the moment, down from $52.49 to $35.99.

I might add a pic of my car once I style the exterior a bit :).

Use the velco that comes with the supercheap auto mats. If the velcro comes loose stick it down again with "tarzans grip " buy it from IGA or bunnings.

I’d highly recommend these guys!! Solarstyle tinting and opticoat in Brisbane. My car came out absolutely immaculate!! Shinier than new and tinting is perfect! No wonder their shop is full of Ferrari’s, Lamborghinis, Porsche’s and half million dollar cars! These guys are amazing! 35% on the front (I want to be insured still lol) and 18% on the rear.

Tinted windows look cool but do next to nothing to 'cool' your car, when sitting in the summer sun the heat built up is like an oven and you car will heat up no matter what.

I tried to get a dash mat at SCA about 3 years ago, but they couldn't supply one because of my airbags, which as we know are all the same on the CJ when it comes to the one in the dash.

As for the stick on things, best thing is use an alcohol based cleaner or cloth first. It might look clean but the build up of oils will prevent them from sticking on.

Nice 488 GTB, chose the right color brakes!

Mmm so what does the tinting do then....... do you have some scientific evidence showing inside car temperature of tinted vs non tinted, stationary vs moving, air con off vs on, time to cool interior from a specific temperature on tinted vs non tinted. Does it not absorb heat and reflect UV?

Tint definitely helps keep the car and more importantly the passengers cooler. Yes your car will still get ridiculously hot when left in the summer sun but while driving will limit the sun and help the airconditoner.
I agree with the dash mat. Clean the dash with alcohol wipes first
