Hi,

I just signed up. I have a 2013 Ralliart and it needs new tyres.

I love the car but the standard tyres seem very noisy, or maybe it's the lack of noise insulation.

Checking the Wheels and Tyre section I note I can put 225/45/18 tyres to replace the 215/45/18.

Any suggestions on what brands to get a quiter ride ? I guess I'd now be classified as a mature owner, my hooning days are long gone.

Thanks in advance for any advice, link referrals.

Signed , Ex Petrol Head

You'd actually need 225/40 if you didn't want the stock size 215/45.

The main reason we got for the 225/40 is the stock size tends to cost more but prices vary and I have seen some only about $5 dollars difference.

I have the Kumho Ecsta 4x which are good but unfortunately haven't had the CJ long enough to compare them to others.

I'm not quite in the mature category but I like a quite ride from the tires.

Welcome Peta!

There are a few tyre topics on here but long story short a few of the RA owners including myself run Bridgestone R003's a good daily and all round tyre. I can't give you a price as I have wider 245/40/18 on mine.

If the RA stock tyres are still Yokohamas, yes they are noisy and I found didn't last as they started to let go with still 30% tread left
