I'm sure that Merlin can tune the colt and the Lancer.
I am like you and have an interest in tuning our cars. I have spent many many hours data logging and checking rom tunes to see what the differences are etc.
The best thing about a Merlin tune is you sit in the drivers seat and see what is going on. You can ask questions. After the day you have an awesome car and walk away felling you have a better understanding of your car and tuning.

No. I've discussed this with Merlin and it's possible but it would require a heap of investigation.
I personally find the cvt great. Comfortable and smooth for ever day driving and fun around the hills with the paddle shifts. I use to find the noise annoying but with headers and full exhaust and 2 boxes of dynomat it's okay now.
