Hey guys Will here

Postby STIandEVO » Mon Aug 24, 2015 12:53 am

My name is Will and I'm from South West Sydney
Pleasure to be a part of this forum :)

I'm a die hard Subaru fanatic, I own a 99 STI
and I WAS about to purchase a brand new Evo 10
but since my gf just got her P's I thought I'd buy
her a brand new car instead.

She can't drive stick yet, so I bought her a AT 2015 Lancer ES Sports.
It's 2500km's in and I think our Mitsy needs some suspension mods
to start off with

Any suggestions what we should get/do to it?
What did everyone do first?

hi will, welcome to club cj :D
if you want some suspension mods, the bc racing coilovers would be an excellent choice, for other mods the sky is the limit you want it someone is probably selling it

Thanks Shaun and Andrew!

Shaun - BC BR's sound good or just lowered springs for now :P
She's pretty happy with the car at the moment, maybe in the future
I will con her into learning manual purely for the fact that I want
her to drive an evo lol!

Since you asked what we did to our cars here's what I did in order hopefully you can take some ideas away from it, once you get started it's hard to stop:

- Blacked out front grill and lip
- Debadged boot and vinyl wrapped Mitsubishi logos red.
- Custom headlights and taillights
- Evo X bonnet
- LED interior lights and footwell lights. Also LED in the boot for convenience.
- Grill lights.
- Front and Rear Dashcams, already saved me $3000+
- Strut bar
- Painted engine bay
- 18" wheels

I think the wheels and blacked out grills are probably one of the better mods if you're after visual type stuff. Dashcams are a good and normally overlooked investment.

Thanks Swerve!
I'm starting off with the running gear,
I've just picked up some 18 inch wheels,
what strut bar do you have?

I've got the UltimateRacing front upper strut bar. The 18" wheels definitely look good on the car. What colour was your car and the wheels?

Ok nice, because I was just looking at the Whiteline strut braces
but wanted to see what everyone else is using.

It's white man and it came with 16 inch or 14?
I haven't got a photo of my one,

but this is what the car looks like

Ah yeah same as mine I think they're 16" stock. I paid $150? for mine and it shipped really fast and took me 5 minutes or less to put on and fits perfectly.
