Cricks won't :)

Speaking of I noticed they are looking for a person in the wash/detailing area in Nambor. Maybe they need someone to show them how it's done!

HAHA! Wonder if they sacked the last guy after getting feedback from head office from the customer survey responses I did....

Can someone measure the size of their logo?
And how far down from the brake light it's located.

I'm betting the car had one of these on the back replacing the 3 diamond logo.

So likely a P plater with bad taste since it has those chrome wheels as well. Only good thing they did was the exhaust which sounds great.

Okay so here is my two cents worth....

I purchased my 2011 Lancer SX from Cricks Maroochydore over a year and a half ago. Was more then pleased with the service I received through out the whole car purchasing procedure. Three weeks after purchasing the car I noticed a loud rattle noise on idle. I took the car straight back to Cricks Maroochydore and have them take a look at it.

That afternoon I got a call informing me my car had a "deformed exhaust pipe" and a new part had already been ordered for it under warranty. I later returned the lancer the week after and had the part fitted with no troubles. - Smiles all round.

I have since done some modifications to my vehicle which in some eye's would be seen as Highly Illegal and voiding warranty (Real Carbon Fibre bonnet, spoiler, engine components etc..). I have had my lancer serviced by Cricks Maroochydore multiple times now and not a negative to say about them.

Today I had the 75,000km service done as well as have a high pitched rattle noise checked that was coming from the top half of the engine. Car was completed 3 hours ahead of schedule and noise was fixed (no additional charge). Cricks Maroochydore is a major car yard and if you are purchasing a used vehicle you expect to get what you pay... same whether it came from a yard or private sale.

Purchased a vehicle without badges on the boot? Well.... that's what was for sale. Purchased a vehicle with after market wheels.... Yeah that's what was on the car at the time of the sale. I understand that in this case some things may have been over looked and it is a real shame that you are having some issues with a newly purchased car. But do remember Cricks Maroochydore is a large dealership with much higher paying customers then us "Lancer Drivers". They are trying to resolve issues here and as long as they are trying then I see no reason for being picky :)

Hope all gets solved soon!

The only complaint I have from Cricks is after they had the car for 4 days it didn't fix the vibration issue, all they basically did was put new tires on the car. Now with this noise in the brakes under heavy stopping it's clear they haven't taken it for a proper test drive, they probably went to 100 and said its fine, even though at 110 it's not. I will be going back this week to tell them the brake noise is still there and this time I'm going to insist on driving them to show them.

Spoke to my guy here in Caloundra and he agrees if the wheels and tires are okay they its likely in the brakes, maybe the rears. The last thing I want to do is spend money on the car to fix a problem that was there since I first took it on a test drive and should be covered by the extra warranty I'm paying for.

That said at some point I was looking at putting on slotted rotors on the car and have no problem paying for them, (they are probably cheaper that the genuine Mitsy parts) if it fixes the problem. Also I want to paint the brakes yellow but one thing at a time.

The holidays have really messing things up.

I like my CJ and I'm enjoying the extra comfort, over the CC coupe.

My only regret is not getting the other VRX I was looking and was set to take a test drive in. I don't want to be cynical but Cricks didn't bother calling me and from the outset was trying to sell me any car to get my business, even a Subaru! The other VRX was the same year and a few less km's on it but the previous owner had fitted a EVO bonnet and exhaust... and was not missing the badge on the back ;)

I'm already considering painting mine yellow at some point but that's a LONG way down the track.

It's just cricks all over, I went into the Maroochydore Ralliart branch looking to buy a new evo at the time, they took my number etc to contact wth prices\times and all that, never heard from them. Ended up only been able to get the ralliart on lease, so again tried to deal with them, just a pack of clowns in my opinion. No communication at all, glad I went through the lease company and they got screwed on having to handle delivery etc and get nothing for it. Though their "detailer" did do some major damage to my paint that cost me $800 in a paint correction detail to fix. Warranty issues with my car? Will be taking it anywhere but them, will even truck it to Brisbane dealer if need be if I have to.

Since Cricks is no help I'm taking the car to Padders for their 28 point check, see if they can give me some answers to the vibrations issue and see what they think of the brake noise, if it's just the ABS or something else.

Booked in for Wednesday morning.

I went through the whole 'balance, rotate, re-balance, align, re-balance, new tyres, re-balance' routine and ended up getting an on-car balance and that seems to have done the trick.

I'm assuming you've had the wheels checked for rim bends or bent spokes...

Yes the wheels were checked as they were the first suspects, a specialist has cleared them. Cricks didn't give me a detailed list of what they did but I do know it has new tires and I can only assume they checked the alignment at some point. Not sure if the balancing was done on the car. My only issue with that is what happens if I need to take off a wheel or something, or I have a flat? I'll need to make sure the wheel goes back onto the studs the same way.

Seriously have never struck this before on any car before, I'll wait and see what Pedders says next week. I may consider getting some other wheels sooner than planned, maybe even some stock VRX rims to rule them out as the problem. I just don't feel I should have to pay for them given this is not a new issue but at this point I'm willing to try anything to make the VRX better.

Lancer1993 wrote:My coupe is a dark blue and after 21 years I swear the paint is in better condition than my 5yo CJ, yes I know black is darker but it is actual scratches in the paint work, most I did not notice before and you probably wouldnt until you actually get down and wash the car. Really wish I had taken the Cricks 24 hour test drive deal which Ive seen in ads but they never offered and at the time I didnt think it was needed. Maybe I should just save up and paint the whole thing yellow in a couple of years... yes I want a yellow CJ, why was that never a color option in this country? Get an EVO bonnet and rear bumper with twin outlet exhaust and do the job properly... need to start saving now. Im thinking Lamborghini Aventador Yellow!

Colour change (Paint) is a huge job and done right your looking at least $2g...If its not done properly you will also loose that again in resale value. Most people think that a respray is proof of major damage/crash. Better off getting it wrapped.

Don't give up on the car just yet Craig - best suggestion I have (other than the on-car balance) would be to try & 'borrow' a set of wheels, swap the lot out and go for a drive - that way you can rule the wheels/tyres in or out definitely...

Have a look at: http://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Mitsubis ... 008%20-%20)/ - there's a selection of cars you can borrow from... :-)

Good point, but same could be said about those who de-badge their ride.

Besides it's a pipe dream right now and I'm hoping to keep the car for some time. But it would be unique, unless others have the same idea there are not many yellow CJs around.
