New member from Adelaide

Postby partyman76 » Thu May 01, 2014 10:31 pm

Hi guys, I'm Dan from the southern suburbs in Adelaide. I have a white evo x gsr. I only picked it up recently - it has a few mods, but it's not running at it's full potential so I will sort that out soon. I come from a long list of evo's including an evo 3, evo 5, 2 x evo 6's, evo 7 and a Tommi Makinen. I thought I would 'upgrade' to the x, but still unsure if it was the right decision or not! I joined up here a few weeks ago, but earlier in the week I found a spotted card on my window while at a shopping centre.. So who was it? :)

Cheers
Dan

(WTTC)
The X is much more refined from what I have found,
I do like my 7 but still prefer my X
But there is something about that 4G63 and the older shape that appeals to me, maybe more pure to what the evo is. . . . the X is like growing up :) good but not quite the same
Any who, I reside in Woodcroft when I am in Adelaide, again welcome

Thanks guys.. Yes Kayla, it must have been you who carded me,

Dion, I agree mate. I prefer the X over the VII any day of the week. Yours is a GTA right? So probably a bit further removed from the true essence of an evo (no offence!). It's getting rid of the Tommi Makinen for the X that I have a hard time dealing with, but most would understand this :). However I am really enjoying the refined drive of the X and once I sort out a few issues on it and give it a few custom touches, I'm sure I'll be happy with my decision. I nearly bought a black MR like yours too.. Beautiful interiors compared to the GSR.

Look forward to seeing you all out and about!

Cheers
Dan

Hi Erin, I met you at another evo cruise when I was in my TME - coffee shop then hills run north east way. I actually saw somewhere that you were looking at selling and I tried to get in touch through facebook but had no luck. Shame you're selling but can completely understand.

I can't remember if it was me on Flagstaff Hill Rd or not! Do you remember what colour wheels the white X had? Mine has black rims. I did go down there on Wed morning, but generally I remember every evo I see!

Was most likely me then on Wednesday. I don't normally go that way for work but had a meeting at Norwood. At the cruise, mine was the white one with sticker kit. Once I sort out some fuel issues I'll come out :).

Welcome to ClubCJ.

Haha you owned my dream Evo (Tommi Makinen). Really nice to hear that you're sticking to the Evo line, you must have a lot of experience in owning them! Enjoy your stay and hope to see you at a meet soon. :)

Welcome to the club!

Yay another evo! Its always great to have evos out cruising with us. I was also at that evo oz meet with Erin, sadly I don't have an evo :( would love one and am trying to convince my partner to buy one.

Try to cone out to one of our cruises. We have one every month, plus a few last minute/spur if the moment meets. This months cruise will be towards the end of the month and we are heading south, most likely end up McLaren Vale way.

Enjoy!
