Hey guys

Postby konnect4 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:39 pm

Well, I'm nooot quite a Lancer owner yet :(

In the market for a good daily driver and thought it good to do some research! The lancer VR is definitely the frontrunner right now as it offers that balance between exceptional looks and reliability. Heading to a few auctions this Tuesday, hoping to bid myself into officially being apart of this club haha! :D

I have a few quick questions if you guys don't mind me asking :

1. Where in Sydney could I get the vinyl, hopefully fitted as well, to blackout the front bumper? As this is the first mod I would be doing.

2. Where is another good place to get the High Rise rear wing for the VR? fitted and resprayed too.

3. And last of all: What do you guys rate your lancer as a daily drive?

Thanks ,sorry to bombard you guys with questions but all input is honestly appreciated!

Ans to 2: Bear in mind that if you want to remove the VR's lip spoiler, there will be 2 holes in the bonnet. The lip spoiler is held on by 2 screws and double sided tape. So long as you are ADDING the high rise rear spoiler, there's no problem.

Ans to 3: Not the best fuel wise. I've tested it before. An absolute fuel tank (From the neck to the car absolutely stopping) is 648KM in a CVT (I have a picture somewhere which apparently is poor compared to say a Honda Civic which goes 700KM+.
But it turns heads and looks so much better than anything else out there. The market for aftermarket parts is fabulous as well.

Thanks for that! That was very useful!
Yeah I will most likely leave the stock lip spoiler on, would you happen to know any reliable places that are able to do the high rise wing?
Yea I'm guessing it's not a Corrolla or Civic in terms of fuel economy but ah well, anything to look good eh? ;)

Edit: Just saw your location, nvm! haha

I reckon, one of the club's sponsors, Concord Customs, should be able to do those for you.
