Intro.....finally

Postby Lucky Dog » Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:05 am

Hi all. Been a member on here for a while and only just realised that I haven't introduced myself. Name's Jay and currently live in Darwin. After years of owning V8 Falcons I was in the market for an XR6 Turbo but somehow found myself in an '09 VRX. Very happy with the Lancer and while I don't plan to go for any hard core mods I do like to play with the exhaust and suspension to make it a bit different from stock ones getting around.

Hey Jay, good to see you branching out :D

Must miss the power sometimes though? I miss driving my mum's NA XR6 sometimes and thats nothing compared to a XR6T or 8... But I don't know any better yet hey :P

You're a little isolated up there in Darwin... Don't know how many members we've got there...

Cheers for the quick reply. Glad to be part of a club with like minded people.

Yeah it feels a bit lonely up here in the NT :( Moved back up here from Brissy at the start of the year due to being Defence. Had nearly forgotten how remote it is.

Definitely miss the power of the V8, however I feel a little better when it comes time to fill the tank or the rego renewal comes around. :D

Welcome Jay :)

I'm sure you'll find more than enough information about the CJ here . Not much into modding? I echo Chris with "BAHAHAHA...." Yeah, good luck with that... :P

Make sure you update your garage when you start adding/changing your CJ - lots of shiny things to be had!

Never the less, welcome again :D

Yeah I know I have 0% of sticking to my no major mods plan. Was the same with my last car. No mods.....$10,000 later. That's why I was looking for the XR6T, needed a new toy to tinker with. Wife convinced me the Lancer was the way to go as she believed there was no modding to be done. Silly woman!
