Re: Grill Blackout

It's a fairly simple job. Just beware that when you pull of the masking after the dip is dry, it'll peel a little so you can either remask every time or pull it all off, mask it again then spray over the peely bits and pull off the masking when it's still wet. Just did the plate bar rather than all ...

Re: Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

Re RA snorkel $175 new from dealer.bought one myself. Did you need a Ralliart VIN? If so, how'd you go about it? Got a call back from the wreckers and the snorkels are sold out. They're damn hard to find. EDIT: Called a local exhaust shop this afternoon and got quoted "mid 300s" for repla...

Re: Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

I've just ordered the TOG filter, should be here by the end of the week. Also gave the wreckers a call to get a price on the snorkel but there was no answer. Sent them an email and will call them back later today. Just wondering, where abouts is there a wrecking Ralliart mate? I'm after a few parts ...

Re: Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

Also, what's the best filter for a 4B12? Looking at the TOG filter for $70. A lot of people seem to like the HKS Super Hybrids but they're twice the price. Which one's the better option? high-flow cat Been looking around for High-Flow cats, but I'm not really sure where to look? Any issues other tha...

Re: Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

If you're planning to get it tuned, the biggest exhaust restriction is the stock cat so replacing it with a high-flow cat would yield some power. Might start off with this rather than doing the whole axle back to fit the rear bumper; leave that for later. Depending on how much it is from the wrecke...

Re: Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

You're probably better off getting an aftermarket or custom dual tip setup for your VRX.

What's a ballpark figure?

I'm getting the snorkel as well as a filter and hopefully get it tuned by Merlin at some point.
The bumper however is purely cosmetic.

Repainting Ralliart Rear Bumper

Hey all So I've got a 2010 VRX that I've finally decided to do some work to. I've found a 13' Ralliart at the wreckers and am looking at getting the snorkel and rear bumper. My questions are, how much am I looking at for respraying just the bumper (it's orange, need it silver) and am I correct in th...

Re: raliart prices tanked?

What makes you think you'd be getting so little? Market value for Ralliarts of that year with those kays seems to be around 18K-ish. Could make more or less depending on your location, condition of car, how stubborn the buyers is etc. I think the main factor is that you did overpay when you bought i...

Re: Ralliart Sportback Rear Diffuser For VRX

Awesome, Berek. Let us know how it goes when you eventually put it on. Would love to see how it looks fitted. What colour was the diffuser when it shipped? Black, silver, or just raw fiberglass? Also, what bike did you pick up? I'm looking at CBR250RRs (Mini Fireblades) as my first bike. Hopefully p...

Re: Ralliart Sportback Rear Diffuser For VRX

Mate, you absolute bloody legend. That's perfect. $400 is on the pricey side, but when there's no other options, seems like a good deal I guess :P The availability issues are just with the sportback. You've got parts coming out your ears with the sedan, but get rid of that boot and you've got bugger...

Ralliart Sportback Rear Diffuser For VRX

Hey all So I own a VRX Lancer Sportback and the main thing letting the car down is the rear end. Given there's no real option for tail lights, I figured i might as well tidy up the rear bumper with a diffsuer. I was sitting behind the most lovely looking blue Railliart Sportback yesterday and it loo...

wait for the model 3 Couple weeks later & the wait's over :P Any thoughts on the Model 3. It's 40K-ish in the states so with the rubbish AUD and imports blah blah blah, we'll most likely be looking at 60K. The car looks good, very much like the Model S. Thoughts? http://goo.gl/SHd1lS At the mom...

YOU gna BUST SOME SHIT UP! Nah nah, it's all good mah' dawg *becky* Anyway, it's not something I personally do often at all. If you go doing it at every set of lights, then yeah you're gonna wear out your tranny real quick, just like any other car. Brake boosting in any car aint' exactly great for ...

It's really what you feel most comfortable doing.
The plastidip is cheap and easy, but there are some issues that you have to get around. I'm not sure how the edges will hold up over time but I suppose we'll see.
Vinyl wrap will look good. Might as well do it right!
