Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?
I'm reading lots of aggression from your comments bumblebee, but could just be me? Slotted rotors on a street car are going to be mostly for look and the knowledge that you have new, good quality rotors in, I don't see any reason why it should be a pre-requisite to put in braided lines and RA calipe...

Re: Brake Rotor/Pads Recommendations?
RA and VRX have same rear calipers. 2.0 NA (ES, etc.) rear brake pads WILL NOT fit in a VRX (except probably the MY08 as that wasn't the 2.4L from memory). Does anyone know if the RA front calipers (twin piston) would just bolt onto the hub of a 2.4L VRX? I hadn't really considered it, but if you co...

Re: Horn installer in VIC
It's really not that difficult. I do electrical design for DC systems daily as my job. Look at the maximum current requirements of ALL the horns you want to install. Look at the stock fuse for the stock wiring harness. If it's 5/10/15A (and maybe check the owners manual to make sure it hasn't been r...

Re: MARS Performance Headlights & Taillights
I'd be interested in the headlights honestly, but gonna need to see some photos of the condition, etc.
Could you detail a bit more what you have for the wiring setup? Did you have the DRLs running whenever the car was running, or do they switch off when the headlights come on?

Re: Horn installer in VIC
I think there's merit in both methods; installing the relay and harness means you definitely aren't going to overload the wires, and you don't need to touch the stock harness. On the other hand, the factory wiring can clearly handle your typical horn, including Hella horns, as Shaun has mentioned. N...

Re: Parts for sale
150 for the pair? I'm not from Vic, WA, but would pay postage. Will have to work out if they would be compatible with my 09 VRX though. Are they HID?

Re: WIDE BODY RALLIART!
Fair enough regarding finances then, the Evo's are definitely much more expensive. I wasn't trying to be negative or anything with my suggestion, just sometimes you see people come in a spend thousands upon thousands on parts to make their RA/NA look like an Evo, which is certainly their preference....

Re: WIDE BODY RALLIART!
Surely for all that effort it would be easier to get an Evo and avoid having to upgrade most of those parts? The Evo has a wider body does it not?

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?
Yeah like I said, you definitely don't want to put old pads on new rotors, so if you are considering it then you will want to do them at the same time, otherwise you may find yourself needing to buy new pads. Even if you only do 1000km with the new pads on the old rotors, they may develop ridges tha...

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?
Craig's vehicle is same as mine, so what I've got installed will fit for sure. DBA ones are pretty good, but obviously if you change rotors make sure you change to new pads at the same time.

Re: When will I need new Brake Pads?
Just chiming in, I've got Bendix pads front and rear and they generate an unholy amount of dust for some reason, they really make the alloys look terrible. Installed them with new slotted rotors, so there shouldn't be any issue with the contact surface. Rears are a fair bit worse than the fronts.

Re: Proximity Key Boot Issue?
Reading this I'm confused if people mean the boot button on the key fob, or the keyless entry button on models with the smart key. On my VRX, the button on the key fob MUST be pressed twice in quick succession. Not sure if you can just hold it down, that may also work. The keyless entry rubber butto...

I get door rattles too since I have an amp and some decent Alpines in the doors. It's annoying but I've never found out a way to stop it, and I've looked a few times

Re: EGR valve discussion
I think you missed my point. Your previous definition was obviously very broad. It's like saying a burger is something you put in your mouth - it sure is, but that doesn't mean you can describe what a burger is using that phrase. It doesn't differentiate it from any other food or non-food items, in ...
