Re: Mod ideas and tips

Hey Merlin, look! Another Sportback!!

I'd love a new catback for my lancer but eh, lots of effort for minimal gains. I'll probably make a rear muffler delete at some stage instead.

Re: Mod ideas and tips

Hey mate, welcome to the club! Best things by far for performance are an RA snorkel and a tune from Merlin. You'll feel the power straight away and it'll be like a new beast. I've never really been into much cosmetic stuff. I do have Rally Armour mudflaps though which look cool and protect my car ;D...

Re: Merlin tune day Brisbane

Good to see you again Dave. Drove the lancer today for a change after the big day in the 86. I still love how good it feels compared to stock :) Was interesting to see the effects of the aftermarket intake and how it made performance WORSE rather than better! I'm glad to see if felt better after it ...

Re: Merlin tune day Brisbane

Hey Merlin,

I'll be in Brisbane on the 29th of October at 999 Automotive with the Toyota 86. If you are still looking at dabling with them, I have some base maps for you :)

BTW everyone on the fence about this, DO IT! Much worth.

Re: Premium membership and Definition Files

Hey Sam, thanks for the reply!! Sorry, I don't seem to get email notifications here :( I remember on the old website you used to be able to download the files if you were a paid member. Merlin has actually already tuned my car! I really only want the definitions so I can have a fiddle with it myself...

Premium membership and Definition Files

Hey guys!! Digging the new site. Only thing is, I can't find where to sign up to be a paid/premium member so I get me some stickers and also can access the definition files for my vehicle as I believe this is the right way to get them (so that the members that helped compile these get paid etc for t...

I'm very limited with who I can see in my area. No one around here really specialises except in hotrods.
The guy that specialises in the 86 platform doesn't do them so I'd only go to someone who the masses recommend.

Yeah very keen for this merlin tune. I've never seen someone in the game recommended so highly which can only be a good sign!

Why thank you :D Hopefully should. I just want to get rid of the god aweful throttle hang that it has. Everything else will be a bonus. And my housemate just bought his own the same but CVT so he might be getting a tune done also! Then to get some form of catback to suit the Sportback and we are set.

Here's a picture of the two beasts. Both happened to be at work as my housemate was borrowing the Lancer.

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome! I haven't got many photos but when I'm at the computer I'll get some posted.

Already organised a merlin tune. Super good timing because we are going to be in the same area at the same time!
