I agree that it sounds like an immobilizer issue, have you dropped your key or opened it up right before your car stopped working? My friend recently dropped his key which broke open and he lost his immobilizer thingy from inside the key.

Great choice of car . How about an aftermarket touchscreen unit? I just installed one myself and couldnt be happier . You could also try changing the dash lights if your not fond of the orange?
