Re: Dummy interior button and unplugged cable
I'd do this if you could remove the floor one without leaving a hole in the carpet.

Re: Rust Protection
Watched plenty of YouTube videos from 'Just Rolled In' and they number of not so old car with bad rust damage is amazing coming from a country where most of us don't get bad winters where it snows for months. Here in Australia very few people live in snow country, I don't think we salt the roads in ...

Re: Web Site Hosts
Not heard of those, didn't have plans to update what I had, not done much with it for years. Loosing access to update was like the final straw. I'll hang onto the domain name for now.

Re: Web Site Hosts
I cut the cord, dropped the site yesterday. I still have the domain and a copy on my iMac so I'll revisit it at a later date.

Web Site Hosts
So not sure if this is the right spot for this but I have a domain name for a website that I haven't updated in a couple of years, most recently because the iMac I was using died and the Adobe software I need to use will now cost me a monthly or yearly fee. Also I've lost interest in it so its just ...

Re: Roof racks
Not done it myself but I've seen some with ski and bike racks along with those plastic pods.
I'd say try SuperCheap Auto to see what they stock. I was thinking of this for a trip once but it wasn't cheap, but still cheaper than towing a trailer on a road trip.

Re: Blacks Springs Rally
Its a shame Mitsubishi didn't offer a built in spot light option like earlier EVOs.

Re: Blacks Springs Rally
Light Bars are all the rage, but I still like the look of some nice round spot lights... Anyone tried fitting 9" ones to a CJ?

Re: Driver window seems to be coming off the track
Yes we take power windows for granted, when I owned my CC lancer I was lucky enough to score some power window regulators from a Proton and installed them and got them working myself, also added power mirrors. So cool when you can do mods like that, looked factory as I also changed the cards and had...

Re: Better Sun Visors?
They are screws, not sure of the size. Plus they are held in with plastic 'legs' that go into the hole, I don't know why they are needed, in case the screws come out?
I'd want to get new ones if they do the same thing.

Re: Better Sun Visors?
I know this thread is 2 years old but again looking at the visors. Not replaced them but I did take the drivers one off, no real way to fix it I can see. Moving it past the point of the windscreen (when off) as it does lock into place but there doesn't seem to be a way to change this. Also checking ...

Re: Boot Storage Options
I've got my fire extinguisher in the drivers foot well, right at hand if needed and it doesn't get in the way, its up against the seat. As for the boot I have a full size spare, cut a hole in the floor board so it pokes through, got a large reusable shopping from Bunnings in the centre and all my bi...

Re: Motion Tail lights.
Would have been nice is Mitsubishi had updated the lights at some point, I like these but not paying $550 when others can be had for way less and are ADR approved.

Re: Trip to Birdsville
Yeah the pros and cons of Diesel v Petrol are, Petrol are cheaper to service but cost more to run in fuel. Diesel are cheaper to run in fuel, but services cost more and if something like the fuel pump goes it can cost a lot to fix. That said any engine can cost a lot to replace expensive parts if th...
