Yes, most kits come with a guide on approximate location for the sensor mounting. When you do the installation, mark on the bumper where you would like the sensors to be, then remove the bumper and check for clearance behind. I am the developer of the Genuine Accessory kit and I know how difficult t...

They need to get a special code from Japan (after supplying some supporting infomation related to the vehicle).

Well, at least they used to....that may have changed now.....

Let us know how you go......

I tried a pair of +50's a few years back and although could see a difference, nowhere near as good as additional lights ;-)

Probably too late now, but you have checked the beam alignment? I know of a number of vehicles where the headlamp aim was set too low - adjusting to the correct level helped a lot!

Having worked in the place - the colour was more expensive and they had plenty of stock of the mono to get rid of ;-)

Scott,

I have read your posts with interest, and have asked my colleagues about your case (I work at Mitsubishi HQ in Adelaade) and no-one seems to have been contacted by you or a representative. Feel free to PM me with all the details and anything you have found and/or suspect.

Cheers,

Doug

Hoges,

Glad to hear it is all fixed now - and they should be bright enough! How did you go getting the interlock with your Angel Eyes sorted?

Cheers,
Doug

Hoges - thanks for asking the question; I am including the info abut the older Junction Box (fuse box behind the glovebox) to every dealer and in future fitting instructions incuded in the kits (the kit to suit the Ralliart face is due to hit the dealers by the end of the month). Cheers!

Really can't recommend doing a defensive driving course highly enough. It's all about having options - most of us in an emergency will panic and drive straight into an obstruction; you need to learn to look around and aim for the gap (not the tree/car/pedestrian/kangaroo). It is amazing how much hav...

For those doubters...... Try pulling rearwards on a towball on a car and see what happens to front ride height. Now fit a bike carrier (or similar) and pull rearwards on the top - what you have is a lever. A standard bike carrier puts enormous strain on the towbar and vehicle mounts. That is why eve...

Seriously - do not try something like this on a CJ - you will do some damage to the vehicle - it does not have the rear chassis strength to take the moment load!

There is no towbar for EVO owing to the high-strung nature of the engine (need plenty of cooling for that baby even when you don't throw a caravan on the back;-)

There is a towbar for the Ralliart models - MZ350125 - with a 1 ton limit.

OK - I've checked out the wiring - assuming it is a 13MY LX as per your signature... Looking at the ETACS, top left connector (15-way with a sodding great wire in the middle) there should be a Silver/Black wire and a Blue wire on the lower part (next to the sodding great wire). These are the two wir...

The power is shared with the door locking/unlocking so if this is working a missing fuse is not the problem. Can you hear any light 'clicking' when you operate the fold/unfold coming from the ETACS (the white fusebox behind the glovebox)?

As well as the wiring differences, there are two relays in the ETCS that control the folding function (probably not fitted in your vehicle). I am doing a bit of investigating now.....but looks complicated ;-(
