Independent mechanics do not carry a MUTT scan tool. No matter what we do, be it using our scan tools to reset the service indicator, or using the info button to reset the service indicator, it will never be able to get the correct service inication - unless the car is serviced right within the 15,0...

Agreed Ofey. As long as you install the correctly matched spark plug to what was already installed to your car (regardless of brand) - or for that matter whatever exceeds (irridium already - so nothing much could be any 'better'), you should not find any performance loss. Only a very temporary perfo...

I might suggest as well that '0w' is too thin for our cars, according to manufacturers specifications. But being in Gold Coast, you might just be able to get away with it in hot weather, Not recommended for those in colder climates though.

3 places come to mind:

Donnellans in Box Hill, Jax Quickfits Preston and Mag Wheels and Tyre in Preston. I have dealt with all of them, and have never had any troubles with them. Have even gotten to know each one of the managers personally :) Give them all a shot.

Contact Lee Lansbury. Owner and Operator of Superfinish Express. 0418 522 026. Met this guy at Doncaster BMW while working there. This company normally deals with trade customers only (dealerships/used car yards/auction yards etc.), but I guess it's worth a shot. He does very good work. I have seen ...

Ching, you have nothing to worry about. 5w40 is OK for your Ralliart. Dealers have a range of oils available to them to use. In this case, Magnetec Pro is a semi synthetic and is the closest thing the dealer has that is within spec, as Castrol Magnetec Pro does not have a 5w-30.

Burson Auto Parts is also a stockist of Philips. Give them a go. No doubt both Autobarn and Burson is more expensive than EBay though. Not sure about the RRP, sorry.

Correct Glen. Some manufacturers run 20,000km+ service intervals. Others also have 'condition based servicing' (i.e. BMW) who may only change the oil every 25,000km. But for our Lancers, 15,000km is fine.

Minimum servicing requirements for the Lancer is 1 year/15,000km. Severe conditions/heavy usage (towing etc.) is when you should change the oil at 7,500km/6 month mark. Also, for turbocharged cars (which yours is not), is worked much harder thus changing the oil is good practice to keep the car runn...

*Poke* Irving - care to chime in?!? I was surprised to see it myself actually. That's why I'm wondering. With a AA traction Rating and A Temperature rating, wouldn't expect it to be so high. But if I remember correctly, it is. Another one with 400 is the Goodyear Eagle F1 Directional, also going off...

I believe Irving's bro-in-law should take the cake.

Treadwear 440 on Pirelli P Zero Nero's.

Does that count as Irvings (ofey)?

I have modded the car to oversteer in certain situations. Before that though, ASC will kick in if not turned off. But before modding, even driving it on the limits, it was hard to so much as a smidge of oversteer, understeer was the more than likely result.
