The easiest grommet is just above and behind the accelerator. I found a 12V source for my interior light but mine is an 08 model so maybe Mitsubishi have changed it. It should be very easy to do. Where are you planning on placing the switch?

Does this apply to lancers that were bought second hand? Do Mitsubishi replace the possibly faulty parts for free even if you are not the original owner?

Cheers. My OBD cable can only read generic commands (no ABS related data ). I will take it out to a dirt track near my place and give traction control and ABS a work out. I take it traction control uses the ABS pump as i lost it with ABS when the pump died.

Replacing ABS module/pump

When replacing the ABS module/pump will bleeding the brakes normally be enough to get any trapped air out of the abs pump? Is there anything else i should look out for when replacing the unit?

Cheers.

I have had this problem for the last year and have just put up with it. It doesn't really affect my day to day driving so i have just dealt with it. Pretty disappointing to here that Mitsubishi is aware of this obvious safety issue and hasn't done a recall though. Mine is on constantly and never goe...

Hey,

Yes you will need a relay to do this if you have a Jaycar or a supercheap near buy you can get one from there just get a single pole double throw relay. The part number is SY4070 from jaycar and it costs about 6 bucks.

Cheers,
Mark.
