Been wanting to lower the car for ages, but the cash part is the factor as its not a necessity.

The other thing i have been wanting to experiment is with getting the chrome upper and lower grills, as i have the surrounds already.

The top grill is a single piece. So bad luck, no separating there. Unlike the lower grill which is in 2 pieces i.e. Grill and surround. Are you sure. The top is not single piece... I have black insert and the chrome surround on the top. I have the "chrome" (which actually looks champagne)...
