Thanks heaps ofey, your post makes it much easier for people shopping for aftermarket taillights like myself. A quick question, is the installation simple as plug+play, i.e. no soldering involved?

Ofey, are these the same taillights installed on your lancer, as per the pics in your garage page?

People are talking about installing a LCD strip into their boot, is this an easy install? And is it possible to change the light which lights up the number plate to another colour such as blue?

Hey guys, can you guys recommend me some replacement leds for the map lights and the dome lights? Are there any other lights that I should look to replace with LEDS? Should I go for blue (for the awesomeness) or white? Thanks

Best stick to new cars then :) Heart is set on a lancer? :P Yeah of course, otherwise wouldn't be posting here haha ;) I just have to sort something out so I can get an SX, or the MY12 equivalent of an SX. Second-hand VRXs are good but I need an auto lightning blue one, and there aren't any of them

Yeah true, thats the main reason why I'm aiming for a new car. The only relevant VRX on carsales to me (blue, auto) is a 2007 model and has a 2.0L engine so no real incentive there.

I'm a P Plater, would I be able to drive a VRX?

thanks for the suggestion, do you know how much the activ usually goes for? Would it be easier/cheaper to grab an SX? but i'd lose out on many of the new features introduced in MY12

After a bit of research it seems you're right , but it doesn't include the spoiler!!! I guess I have to get the dealer to include the spoiler in the car price or source an aftermarket one (evo wing anyone??). The spoiler is the selling point for me, that was my favourite feature on my old baby...

will the MY12 ES have the SX spoiler?
