Hope the tree is ok.......just kidding,some cars can be repaired a lot more cheaper than others and i guess lancers are those cars. Just so you know, the tree was obliterated. Yeah I can understand they can be repaired fairly cheaply.. well then again if you look at the list posted by himynameisdan...

Sounds to me a panelbeater shop has given a dodgy quote. Id question that very vocaly cos that pillar is screwed and i can see how they could repair that. If the A-pillar or the front part of the chassis has been bent as a result of the damage, I would demand a replacement. Otherwise everything is just superficial damage and can be repaired. Insurance companies will always do it the cheaper way, so I guess they deemed it more cost-effective to fix yo...

One dark and stormy night I decided to lend my car to my mother as her car doesn't have ABS brakes.
