Re: What engine oil do YOU use?
I have written a few responses to several Q re oil in other threads over the years. I will agree with what many have said above, regular changes every 6 to 12 mo and 5-7500km are more important than the brand or grade. For a turbo I would do a max 5000km/6 mo between changes!! A semi synthetic is pe...

Hi Guys, Mitsu has said numerous times there will be NO lancer CJ replacement model. They are focusing on SUVs and hybrids and electric vehicles in the future. Shame but that is the reality. The car got great reviews from most tester writers when it was released in 2007 for many yrs after. I got min...

Cassie, there are a lot of good threads on the forum that were posted yrs ago that cover oil grades and types etc that can be used. There is also a lot of ill informed misinformation too that has been circulating for decades. Best advice I can give you is- 1) Use a good quality oil, semi synthetic t...

Craig, I hate to burst your bubble but is VERY LIKELY Mitsu will end the Lancer line with the CJ. Talk for several years from the CEO et al in Japan is that they are focusing heavily on hybrid electric vehicles, namely a micro car and SUV,s and 4WD's ranges. They may build a new Lancer for a 2016/17...

I had one of those quick drain valves on a Cordia Turbo I owned yrs ago, I was doing my own oil changes every 6 mo in between dealer services so when wedged under the car on ramps/stands it helped make things easier. Never had a problem with it at all. As far as a putting a reasonable size magnet on...

Anyone using Philips X-treme Vision 100%+ Globes??
Hi Everyone, Does anyone have any experience using Philips X-treme Vision 100%+ Globes ?? Autobarn in Perth has them 20% off so I thought I might upgrade low and high beams with them. I think they are rated at 3700K so whiter than stock but up to an extra 35m throw distance than standard, ( possibly...

I am still here in Perth, still log into site regularly and make a few posts to help people out and I still own my Lancer after 6 yrs. Will be keeping it another 6 yrs probably as I certainly cannot afford a new car. It does what I need it to do just fine, I only wish I got to drive it more but I ca...

No Chadd they did that 8-9 years ago, minimum!!! Date is 2005 in title, which means they were working on it several years before that Batteries atc have made huge strides since then. Either way, in hub motors, for either 2wd or 4wd look like the future. All that power and torque right at the wheel w...
