Oil filter - which one?
I bought an OEM oil filter recently for my MY10 ES manual (I change the oil & filter myself at the 6 month mark). This time they gave me an MD360935 but previously they've sold me MZ690115. Naturally I'm curious about this. As far as I can tell, MD360935 is the right filter for my car (some topi...

Got the air checked at the recent service, which I had done some time ago now. The dealer booked it in for a regas, which had to be done on another day. This took 5 hours! Or, to be more correct, it probably took about 30 minutes but I waited for 5 hours... Anyway, they reckoned it was low on gas pl...

Air conditioning - possible problem
The air cond in my 2010 ES Lancer isn't working properly. It's due for its 2 year 30,000 k service soon, so I'll get it looked at then, but until then I wonder if anyone has any idea what the problem might be. The air it blows out isn't always properly cold, and the system is making gurgling sounds ...

Yeah thats right Pete. The undertray extends from the front bumper to the crossmember. There is a small square hatch that comes away to do an oil change. Well that's just great. The service guys must have forgotten to put mine back on. What's the bet I'll never see that damn thing again - though I ...

The oil tray has another small cover plate attached to it by those quick release pins. I am not sure of their name. You just need a screw driver to pry under the head to remove the inner pin slightly and then pull the whole clip out. Once you have removed the inspection plate you can remove the oil...

Thanks for your advice, guys. Yes, I do warm up the oil before checking it - go for a drive of about 20 kms, park in the garage (dead level) then let the oil settle for about 5 minutes before checking it. I just find the Mitsu dipstick hard to read - much prefer the cross-hatched type. As to the ser...

Reset service reminder - problem
I'm after some info on resetting the service reminder, plus some feedback on oil changes. Sorry for the long post! I changed the oil & filter on my MY10 ES manual last week, and when I finished I wanted to reset the service reminder. I read the instructions I found here on ClubCJ: http://clubcj....

If the dealer was talking about this accessory: http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/pages/home.aspx#/pages/vehicles/lancer/accessories.aspx?id=3029 then it doesn't do what he claims. Went for a long drive in my Lancer yesterday, went to plug in the ipod to the aux plug (near the ashtray - aux port n...

Have just bought a new Lancer, and came across this site when researching the car. Mine is a bog-standard manual ES sedan, MY10, in white, with no options except a fullsize spare (who says you don't get flat tyres anymore? I had one just 3 weeks ago, and I ain't driving anywhere at 80 kph on one of ...
