Could be wrong but I think the shutter inside the headlight adjusts to simulate a "high beam".
Pretty dodgy if that is the case.

1. Do the DRLs function like real DRLs? i.e. they automatically turn on when the car is turned on and do not require you to constantly have your park lights on? I believe the Vlands come with a wire that you plug into your fuse box for DRLs with constant power, until you turn your headlights on. 2....

Re: Regarding bulb replacement of parking light
The parker lights you linked should fit, however it is a small housing and I know the colour changing bulbs from eBay do not fit lol.

Re: boot lid swap
I gave up with the OEM reverse camera Appreciate the tips bumblebee, but it sounds like more hassle than it's worth. I'll just keep running a $15 cheapie from eBay which does okay, but I'll be rely on shoulder checks as well *facepalm* The only issue I have with my after market rev cam is being dow...

Re: boot lid swap
Trying to do the same boot swap as you, the built in reverse camera from later models. My only concern now is that the camera won't sync with my aftermarket head unit. It supports a reverse camera so I imagine it will be plug n play.

Re: Work Boot Advice
I know you already checked Bunnings but I bought some Hard Yakkas (incredibly comfy from day one) on sale for $130, and my employer reimbursed me for $100. You might me in the same boat?
I can vouch for Steel Blues as well - lasted me years, super comfortable and great value for money.

Re: New Member: Ben from Melbourne
Change the inlet snorkel to a Ralliart one as well. This will definitely be one of the first mods I do. Then once I get some quotes on exhausts I'll most likely message you to see if you agree with their plans. Welcome! Where abouts in Melbourne are you? I'm out in the South East :D I'm in the East...

Hi all. I recently bought myself a 2009 Lancer Aspire (Sedan, 75xxx KM), and upgrading from a Hyundai Getz as my first car I'm blown away by the performance and style. I'm loving the car in it's stock condition - but I've already started planning mods and looking for quotes for an exhaust. Would lov...
